PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The purpose of this job is to assist with Reinsurance Underwriting and Administration.
TASK OVERVIEW (amongst others):
• Co-ordinate and execute timely underwriting and production of commercial policies and ensure the accuracy of the documents in line with guidelines.
• Take ownership in managing the end-to-end registration process of training programs and manage the follow up and administration process including all invoices and billing issues.
• Independent routine correspondence with Reinsurers on account reconciliations/claims, periodic reporting/escalation to AM/Regional Reinsurance Manager
• Thorough knowledge of underwriting, claims and Reinsurance modules of the IT system in order to be able to check the correctness of the Reinsurance functionality and outputs.
• Maintain proper audit trail of the communication to branches relating to Reinsurance information required to process transactions in the system - CIRIS
• Adhere to Reinsurance data checking procedures, as agreed between Branches, RI and IT. Procedure essentially entails periodic generation of reports, checking and reporting errors for corrective action at branches.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of errors in data received from the branches and periodically report to Manager(s).
• Provide to RO Finance, relevant reports duly signed-off to facilitate period closing.
• Prepare Treaty Accounts, maintain Treaty Statistics, Cash calls.
• Prepare Reinsurance Profiles for reinsurance renewal
• Generate ad hoc reports as required by Regional Reinsurance Manager, RO Finance and RO Technical Department
