Sales Key Account Developer

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify, organize; control and exploit sales drivers at the outlet level. Retain and develop existing business; seeks growth opportunities; identify threats and weaknesses, dealing with business development, customer relationship building, communicating information, and maintaining presence in the market.
 
 
Auditing, Implementing and reporting the Existing Business
- Audit and report on existing business, by conducting Execution Surveys in outlets, and
submitting reports on factors such as Contract Development Agreement compliance; product availability; presence; range; space; merchandising
integrity; access points; Point of sales materials and equipment placement; implementation of agreement and promotions - and other factors as per guidelines.
- Gather intelligence from the market, in respect of: retail selling prices; competitor activities; customer behavior and store changes and provides intelligence reports to the Modern Trade Manager; Key Account Manager, Sales Projects Manager; Pre-seller and Marketing Department
- Provide feedback to the Sales Analyst; Marketing Department, Key Account Managers and Sales Project Manager, on the effectiveness of promotions, and updates sell-out data in the Promotional Effectiveness reports.
- Undertake submission ad hoc of documents to head offices for listings, promotions, merchandisers badges; arrangements for outlet visits by management.
 
Coordinating and Communication between the Sales team and the Customers
- Arrange for customer requests to be implemented by acting as a point of liaison between the customer and the Pre-sellers
- Develop customer relationships; negotiate new opportunities to optimize visibility and off-take.
- Provide in-sight on new opportunities in existing outlets
- Undertake liaison between the Key Account Manager and customers, in order to facilitate each party’s requests; to conduct problem-solving actions; and to maintain cordial and profitable relationships with customers
- Act as replacement for the Pre-seller in absence of the Pre-seller
- Liaise between Sales team and customers to facilitate actions to be executed
- On Field Training of merchandising to follow set guidelines and measures
 
Analyzing and Reporting
- Highlight opportunities and threats within outlets, and recommends appropriate action to address them. Develop an action plan to optimize on the opportunities and stringent follow through to execute the same
- Preparation of monthly area scorecard and daily execution reports
- Conduct any activities mandated for the Key Account Development role pertaining to Executional or Sales Development Objectives.
- Assist the Key Account Manager in coaching the team
