Production Manager - Printing - Ali Bin Ali Group

OBJECTIVE/ PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This management role is responsible for the smooth operation of the printing production department, involving the overall planning, coordination and control of the department. . The Production Manager will be responsible in achieving short to medium term objectives of teh department

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Oversee production process and draws up production schedule and adjust when necessary
 Ensures production is cost effective
 Works out the human and material resources
 Ensures health and safety guidelines in the production are followed
 Liaises among different department heads (Studio, sales, finance etc) to ensure that quality products are delivered in time with increased cost efficiency
 Implement company’s policies and goals within the department
 Facilitates on site visit of equipment supplier's engineers and technicians
 Monitors and supervises external service provider to ensure service completion
 Facilitates regular operations meeting with the Line Supervisor and Assistant Production Manager to evaluate and production performance
 Coaches and mentors Line Supervisors and or Production staff when required
 Conducts training and motivates staff to grow other than their line of expertise
 Ensures that new recruits are properly oriented
 Manages performance, taking corrective action, where required on poor performance in line with the policy
 Conducts study and analyses production flow process to maximize production with minimum lead time
 Analyses production planning and control and identifies new techniques to improve production output
 Provides inputs into the long terms strategic plans of the production department by understanding the changes in the industry dynamics
 Translates agreed short and medium term strategic objectives into operational objectives and ensure that line is fully informed and KPI are set and monitored to achieve these objectives
 Study existing market and or printing sample and checks possibility of adapting the same technique and refer to higher level for approval
 Identifies need of the market and conducts research for any new printing technology
 Provides recommendation for any new information acquired from outside that can be useful in improving the production
 Acquires formal studies and training related and beneficial to work
