As a photographer for One Third Studio your role is pivotal and you are a core member in the team and our business. Your input, whether in the management/preparation of a shoot, the art
direction and the best methods on delivering a polished product include and are
not limited to the following:
General
1.Act professionally as a representative of One Third Studio.
2.Always communicate with your manager and
keep him up-to-date on the progress and status of a job/project.
3.Always consider safety first, and make an assessment on the right behavior and action keeping yourself and the people
working with you safe.
4.Make sure that all the legal documents are signed by the subjects where needs be (Model release, property release).
Operation
1.Understand the client’s need then take the brief and advise on the best methods to deliver the job accordingly.
2.Research and prepare mood-boards prior to a shoot then pitch it to the client.
3.Handle the subjects and people involved in a shoot respectfully and professionally while getting the best results out of them.
4.Advise and help in sourcing the tools, then support and other stuff that might be needed to do the shoot.
5.Work in different locations and circumstances to get the right image.
6.Liaise with other professionals whether suppliers or from the client side for work permits or other stuff to facilitate the shoot.
7.Stay up to date with the photographic industry’s trends and technical knowledge whether with gear or software.
8.Develop the needed knowledge to master
compositing and detailed retouching using the right software.
9.Retouch the images resulting from a shoot and are selected by the client.
10.Store and backup all the images in a structural, methodical and consistent way. Make sure that no files are lost or deleted and if it happens accidentally, we ALWAYS have a backup.
11.Handle and maintain well the Studio’s gear and equipment and store them properly after each shoot.
12.Produce a good portfolio for the studio, and achieving a reputation for quality and reliability.
