The College of the North Atlantic - Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Financial Control and Reporting Specialist in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Financial Control and Reporting Section Head, must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Finance Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties & Responsibilities:     


This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide support in ensuring that adequate internal controls and policies are in place and that all transactions are controlled, monitored and properly recorded.Candidates should have an outstanding record of industry experience in Finance or related field, and possess the qualifications necessary to be successful in the role of Financial Control and Reporting Specialist. The successful candidate is responsible to assist the Financial Control Reporting Section Head to ensure adequate internal financial controls are in place and that financial activities are monitored and properly recorded and policies are adequate and comply with regulatory rules.


Candidates will assist in the review and analysis of business processes, including related systems to simplify and streamline the processes to achieve efficiency and good internal controls.


The Financial Control and Reporting Specialist will support in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances and liaise with departments to verify availability of funds to support all expenditure.


Candidates will prepare and publish monthly financial statements for management in accordance with accounting principles, and regulatory guidelines and assist with financial compliance and procedural audits to ensure quality control is maintained throughout the at the college.
