A global energy investment company with major international projects is looking for a General Counsel to manage and oversee all legal activities across the organisation and its global projects

Description
- Liaise with the Head of Business Development and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (as and when needed) to provide legal advice in regards to business development opportunities through exploring new ventures such as mergers and acquisitions, investment and procurement activities locally and internationally.
- Identify and assess any current or potential legal liabilities and mitigate risks concerning business development opportunities
- Draft, review and finalize correspondence and contracts with business partners, contractors and clients with a view to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor and drive quality focus across the organization. Develop a quality focused image of the organization to the external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate clear judgements involving highly complex facts or situations, which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options
- Represent the Company in all dispute/ litigation cases with external parties in front of the judicial authorities
- Contribute to the organization budgeting & strategic planning process.
- Support strategic planning activities and communicate plans to teams
Profile
Candidates who aplpy must meet all of the below criteria
- Internationally Qualified Lawyer with specialization in Corporate Law
- Minimum of 10 years experience of which 4-5 years should be in a similar position
- M&A/Joint Venture/Investments experience on a global scale (Europe & Asia)
- Willingness and ability to travel
