Support the Trading Manager in providing investment services and trading expertise to a diverse set of current and potential clients within trading limits established by the Company and with a view to expanding Ahli Brokerage’s customer base and profitability.
Ensure effective implementation of the annual business plan and support the Trading Manager in the managing the Company’s trading requirements in order to maximize returns.
Ensure adherence to Company’s internal trading policies and standards as well as QFMA and Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) guidelines and requirements.
Ensure full awareness and compliance of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to AML & CFT, KYC on an on-going basis.
Support the Trading Manager in managing the overall trading requirements and position within the limits and guidelines set by the Company to increase revenue and maximize return on balance sheet.
Identify and asses new potential clients with investible funds. Discuss investment opportunities and the general marketplace in order meet individual targets in relation to client base and revenue generation.
Ensure that all trading activities are within limits assigned by the Company and as per approvals and guidelines of the management to maximize profitability of Brokerage books.
Keep track of all trading activities including monitoring daily transactions for the purpose of managing the trading positions of the Company.
Develop and maintain contacts with brokers, banks, financial institutions and regulatory authorities to manage the business activities efficiently
Co-ordinate client related matters with the back office and stock market authorities to ensure all trades are completed in timely manner.
Maximize retention as well as growing business by maintaining regular contact with clients. Advise clients on their portfolio for investment and trading ideas to meet their requirements and generate new business opportunities.
Keep abreast of financial market and QSE information available in order to maintain view of the markets. Keep the customers informed about the latest developments in products and the market.
Develop and maintain a professional service & high profile to enhance the reputation of the company.
Works well in collaboration with the team and contribute positively as a team player to ensure delivery of the assigned business plan in timely manner to meet targets.
Ensure integrity, ethics, professionalism and a friendly attitude while handling transactions and during other customer interactions.
Ensure that all assigned reports including daily End-of-Day report are prepared timely and accurately and meet the Company’s requirements, policies and standards.
Attend daily team meetings. Discuss any pending issues, market news and developments and any relevant reports.
Participate in clients meetings and represent the team when needed as per authority levels in order to ensure relevant matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Undertake any other duties of similar nature that are related to the Company and are within the expertise and skills of the jobholder.
