Reliability Engineer - Manpower Middle East

Our client is now recruiting for a Reliability Engineer. You will be directly reporting to the Sales & Service Manager. This position will be based in Bahrain

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Reliability Engineer will ensure effective and efficient contract operation principally through providing engineering reliability support with the objective of improving overall equipment reliability, availability and capability. The person is responsible for managing and driving all Performance Plus contract related taks and day to day activities

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Delivery of all seal materials
• Reliability (Reactive)-Root Cause Analysis, failure mode assessment, recommendations and reporting.
• Reliability (Proactive)-Site tours, preventative activities and recommendations. Gain understanding of systemic and chronic failures and develop plan accordingly to eliminate.
• Feasibility-Understand needs, quantify benefits, prepare proposals.
• Focus on improving the reliability of bad actors( typically a rolling list of the 10 worst performers)
• Upgrades-Review installations, make engineering proposals and optimise arrangements.
• Data Management-Reliability data management, trending, analysis and reporting. Plant schedules, maintenance history, upgrade plans and proposals. Provide an overall report on KPIs as required.
• Maintain the equipment and seal database using this particular brand, the Performance Plus’s interface Reliability Management software on all equipment within the scope of the contract.
• Track mechanical seal usage and regularly report Mean Time between failure ( MTBF) status.
• Provide and/or organise training sessions
• Attend and observe seal installations as required.
• Manage recommendations for improved seal reliability (Seals and support systems)
• Facilitate the reduction of mechanical seal inventory levels through consolidation and standardization of mechanical seal designs.
• Understanding-Build relationships and develop intimate knowledge of people, processes, procedures and drivers.
• Relationships- Form integral part of client’s in-house team of reliability engineers, maintenance supervisors and area managers.
• Management-Initiate & coordinate actions. Supervise local team if applicable. Monthly reporting, both internal and external. Understand contractual requirements and manage accordingly.
