To assist Valve Operator in the activities of valve operation such as opening, closing and throttling, pressure monitoring, shutdown, regular flushing, checking of pipe condition have been increased to a large extent.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist Valve Operators in daily operation of valves (closing, opening, throttling etc.) in transmission and distribution mains.
• Assist Valve Operators in pressure monitoring/checking in the distribution network.
• Assist Valve Operators in checking the condition of pipe.
• Assist Valve Operators on emergency shutdowns for pipe leak, burst etc.
• Assist Valve Operators and staff in carrying-out flushing of mainlines to keep the distribution system clean which is carried out on a regular basis and on emergency as well specifically for cases of dirty water.
• Should have worked as Valve Helper for minimum 2 years in water treatment plant/ Water supply systems.
