General:
- Accountable for the establishment of the BIM office in a local authority organisation on a corporate, programme and project level
- Accountable for the creation of processes, technical standards, object libraries and software templates specific for Asset and programme wide BIM Uses including but not limited to design authoring (models, drawings, data), emergency response and asset management
- Manage BIM coordinator(s) and technician(s) providing the project team with any required support and guidance through a collaborative approach
- Accountable for the development of training material, manuals and best practice guidance
- Provide hands-on technical software support across the areas of implementation, education and training
- Accountable for the integration of Asset data from BIM and GIS with other programme wide systems, such as IBM Maximo
- Accountable for the governance and auditing of BIM implementation working with a range of internal/external stakeholders as needed including QA/QC of models, drawings and data
- Identification of pilot projects to demonstrate value of BIM implementation
- Identify and support the enablement of quick wins for BIM within the PWA
- Accountable for the development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) demonstrating return on investment and operational efficiencies
- Accountable for information coordination, distribution and management within the Common Data Environment (CDE) or any other related systems. This includes integration of BIM, GIS and Asset Management workstreams to support further advancements and value in data usage for decision making.
