The incumbent will contribute to the organization by providing professional support to streamline the Health Education services, ensure compliance with the guidelines/statutory requirements and support in enabling the Health Education staff to equip further knowledge and competence.
Clinical Governance Support Participate in development of Clinical Standards appropriate for Health Education profession and practices
Liaise with clinical audit and clinical effectiveness in development and review of audit criteria for various Health Education functions/services
Support the Health Education Manager in collaboration with Operations and Workforce Training Directorates to ensure appropriate competencies of Health Education staff are being assessed
Support the Health Education Manager in establishing the scope of Health Education service, policies, clinical guidelines, critical measurements, and patient-service strategies.
Quality Assurance Support the Health Education quality assurance processes to ensure practices comply with international best practices
Prepare improvement plans to fix the identified gaps and bring performance up to standards and how to sustain it.
Support in the development of Health Education services within the organization and ensure the services are in line with PHCC scope and relevant guidelines.
Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of the services provided, in conjunction with the quality department
Liaise with Operations to ensure the non-conformances identified as a part of internal audit addressed and corrective actions implemented.
Support Health Education specific accreditations and ensure that the organizational Health Education are compliant with all relevant accreditation standards (ACI)
Mentoring & Training Establish regular meetings with Health Education team in Operations to reflect on new changes introduced on practice
Support all Health Education professional and support staff in meeting clinical standards, new practices regulations, complying with new policies, procedures or protocols
Identify areas where Health Education staff needs further training and development to enable them to meet clinical standards
Liaise with Workforce Training & Development to design the development plan requirements
Patient Safety Commitment Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by thinking what might go wrong in all undertakings and take necessary measures to prevent them from happening.
Identify and report potential or actual patient safety concerns, errors and/or near misses in timely manner.
Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols.
Demonstrate a sense of team work and effective communication.
Partner with line manager to understand risks in the area of work, develop a plan on how to mitigate those risks, and develop shared accountability for implementing and evaluating the plan.
Other duties The incumbent will undertake any such related duties or responsibilities as directed.
