1. Prepares and reviews all contracts and agreements of the company with clients and third parties.
2. Perform legal due diligence for financial advisory and other assignments undertaken by the company.
3. Support and assist in all negotiations relevant to assignments and prospective assignments prior to their conclusion and assist Advisory team in highlighting legal risk thereon.
4. Identifies legal firms to represent the companies in special assignments.
5. Assists in incorporation, preparation of statutory documents and other requirements of regulators and other statutory bodies.
6. Ensures that the legal system, policy and procedures and arrangements are continuously updated and/or up graded to adequately safeguard Firm’s exposure.
7. Handling matters concerning the court on legal issues arising out of claims handled by the company.
8. Recommending or undertaking appropriate legal action in circumstances of disputes.
9. Preparing cases for court by conducting investigations, undertaking research and giving notice of court actions.
10. Representing the company in court, outlining the facts to the court, calling and questioning witnesses, and addressing the court to argue the company’s case.
11. Monitoring and liaising with Legal Consultants/ Solicitors/ Lawyers who are representing the company and acting as the focal point of the company for all legal issues Keeping management up to date regarding pending court cases arising out of claims or other issues on a regular basis.
