Purpose and Scope:

Oversee the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the Bank, taking responsibility of all IT services related to the production/running the bank and/or its subsidiaries on a daily basis. Working closely with supportive staff to assess and address user and law practice needs, areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems and telecommunications activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and leading firm-wide efforts to improve the effective use of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Manage the operation, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, and software applications.
2.Establish and maintain an NOC (Network Operations Center).
3.Ensure that IT services are delivered according to - or exceeding - defined SLA’s (Service Level Agreement).
4.Provide Dashboard facilities to different roles in different parts of the organization as to production status.
5.Ensuring validation of all relevant tasks related to deployment of changes to the production environment.
6.Manage the full cycle of all IT acquisitions including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review and responsible for applicable parts of IT OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
7.Match forecasts received with own projections and subsequently perform capacity planning at required intervals and request from relevant stakeholders (IT-non-IT) forecasts relevant to the running of the bank.
8.Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts. Define and implement relevant SLA’s and OLA’s (Operational Level Agreement).
9.Develop, review and report on IT Operations strategy, ensuring the strategic objectives are well understood and executed by Chief IT Officer.
10.Determine the long term strategic objectives of the business; ensure business growth through directing and managing business operations activities to ensure these are delivered in accordance with the Bank’s strategy.
11.Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices, new projects and technology and perform self-assessment as to adherence of applicable operating policies and procedures and best practice including written protocols and guidance; prepare reports as and when required.
12.Manage the IT side of BCM (Business Continuity Management) and Incident Management process.
13.Implement and maintain DR( Disaster Recovery) capabilities, as per BCM/IT decisions.
14.Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as instructed by the direct manager.
