Greets customers and assist them in their purchase decisions by offering expert advice in compliance with quality and customer service standards
Performs physical and electronic inventory of shop products on a regular basis in order to ensure accurate stock keeping, and informs the manager of unavailable and nonperforming products
Reports occurring operational issues or problems in a timely manner, suggests solutions or escalates them as appropriate to ensure operational effectiveness at all times
Verifies that shop’s floor and shelves are kept clean, tidy and well relished, in order to guarantee availability of products at all times
Maintains high product knowledge and stay up-to date with competitor activities. Conducts on-the-job training and demonstration for new and existing employees within scope of work. Contributes to their professional development for increased performance and customer satisfaction.
Communicates sales plans and targets to the Shop/Department team, assigns routine and non-routine tasks to Sales Associates, monitors performance on an on-going basis, and suggests corrective actions to hierarchy when needed
Runs daily Department meetings in order to ensure all Department activities, objectives and events are properly understood and communicated
Watches for and prevents security risks and thefts, and escalates occurring incidents to the hierarchy in a timely manner in order to avert loss
Prepares staff schedule to ensure that the Shop/Department manpower is effectively matched to the shop’s operational requirements in a cost effective manner
Up-sells and cross-sells products and services in order to reach hourly and daily sales targets
