Head Trials Officer - BQ solutions

• Responsible for liaising with multi-national partners to support successful delivery of projects.
• Seek opportunities to win future business and develop sovereign Qatari capability.
• Support business development and sales teams by provision of bid inputs relating to specific field of expertise as required.
• Collation, creation and presentation of trials schedules, roles and activities to military user to ensure that validation trials appropriately represent the employment of vehicles and relevant equipment.
• Responsible for ensuring all BQS trial team understand their role.
• Ensure the Integration Testing Evaluation Acceptance Plan (ITEAP), project objectives and trials activities are aligned and within project time and cost parameters.
• Responsible for conflict management and resolution in relation to all trial activities.
• Management of trial schedule and maintaining schedule discipline.
• Supervise trial conduct and personnel.
• Construction and definition of battlefield missions or similar content.
• Day-to-day administration of trial activities.
• Responsible for ensuring all safety ad risk mitigation controls are carried out in collaboration with the Trials Safety Lead.
• Author trials chapters in the main report.
• Author trials report.
• Contribution to and delivery of technical briefings and monthly reporting when required.
• Define the data set, information and evidence required from the manufacturer in order to conduct robust analysis.
• Supporting technical development of internal colleagues.
• Supporting technical development of customer understanding.
• To ensure project work remain aligned with deliverables and aims.
• To update Customer on progress and ensure project schedule remains valid.
• To ensure project and final product meets needs and capabilities of Military User.
• To ensure products and services meet programme requirements and to capture risks and progress.
• Strong knowledge of security & defence in the land domain including appreciation of emerging technologies.
• Interpersonal / presentation skills with the ability to persuade and influence with people outside of your own immediate area of specialism or expertise.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced timeframes.
• Ability to effectively report to and brief progress and technical detail to varied audience of technical and non-technical personnel.
• Demonstrable experience of initiating and developing systems engineering approaches to identify and resolve problems.
• Experience in military land systems including wheeled armoured vehicles.
• Experience in design and execution of military vehicle trials and experimentation.
• Experience and knowledge of system requirements and performance across all aspects of vehicle capability.
• Experience of contributing to and undertaking Trials Risk Assessments.
