Network Specialist

Network Specialist is responsible for the ownership of all Network Hardware and Software in the Group including Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Wireless Devices, VoIP Hardware, Phone System, Internet Connections, CCTV, and all BU cabling. This role is also responsible about all LAN/WAN/MPLS Connections and the Security of our Network from outside-in and inside-out.

1. Plan, implement, maintain and troubleshoot Network infrastructure solutions in the company locations.
2. Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Company LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, CCTV, firewall, routers, wireless network and IP Telephone equipment.
3. Maintain network security.
4. Promote and ensure security/confidentiality of all network transactions.
5. Monitor the performance of the network infrastructure using available network management tools and suggest monitoring tools if not existing.
6. Document network infrastructure to facilitate rapid trouble resolution.
7. Monitor and maintain all Internet Access Links for the Group links.
8. Train and transfer knowledge to other staff when needed.
9. Provide written and oral project status to team lead in an effective manner
10. Maintain all Group Network Policies and make sure that those policies are enforced.
11. Effectively document details of work performed
12. Communicate all issues (positive and negative) to Management prior to communicating with any other team members, including users/client/partner.
13. Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities and follow through to completion.
14. Explain technical matters clearly and accurately in a timely matter.
15. Demonstrate positive attitude and ability to participate in a team environment to achieve group/unit goals.
16. Continuously provide Management with enhancement plans and internal improvement to the network environment.
17. Maintain a safe work environment and to follow relevant safety policies.
