Quality Control Technician

This individually contributing role at an expert level is responsible for ensuring consistent production of quality products as stipulated by PepsiCo International (PI) by following procedures and practises laid down by PI and food safety & hygiene standards to ensure the department achieves the set short term objectives.
Operation Duties:
1. Solves basic quality problems within prescribed guidelines to ensure final product integrity
2. Prepares the Beverage mixing units and Filler ready by carrying out sanitation activities prior to daily production run.
3. During production perform all the specified Laboratory tests on line samples at the frequency specified in PI Quality manual.
4. Documents obtained test results in the quality sheets as mentioned in the PI manual.
5. Performs quality test on PET blown bottles according to the procedures and frequency specified in PI Quality manual.
6. Monitors finished product packaging integrity/date coding.
7. Calibrates and documents the Lab equipments per frequency specified in the PI Quality manual.
8. Controls and monitors syrup preparation and prepare control drinks.
9. Ensures all arrived raw material are within specifications by performing quality checks and document the results.
10. Ensures QC. Tests are performed at correct frequency at CO2 plant.
11. Administrates the concentrate storage, rotation “FIFO” and expiring units.
12. Monitors the proper operation of syrup mixing, sugar addition, and final syrup specifications.
13. Maintains treated water within specification as outlined in the PI manual.
14. Reports to maintenance department any equipment -malfunctions.
15. Strictly adheres to Food safety and Hygiene policy & procedures.
16. Steam boiler, monitors the chemicals dosage and analyzes the Boiler water for conformity.
17. In the water treatment, carry out annual carbon filter discharge and re-charge as per schedule.
18. Carries out quality tests on all inbound imported CSD and reports to next level.
19. Ensures that proper housekeeping has been carried out in the plant.
