Family Physician

- Recognize and manage clinical risks in acute cases, resuscitate and stabilize as per patient condition and in line with guidelines and protocols

- Carry out a comprehensive history (physical and mental), examination and investigation of individual.

- Performs a thorough physical and mental state assessment and examination.

- Establish a diagnosis using advanced clinical reasoning, experience and local knowledge of epidemiology.

- Communicate in complex situations while being culturally and emotionally sensitive.

- Maintain an accurate patient’s health record.

- Carry out opportunistic screening for long term conditions risk factors and early signs of disease.

- Respond appropriately to emergencies presenting at the health center as per protocol and in collaboration with the lead clinician.

- Prescribe medication and/or administer treatment/therapy to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury 

- Guide all medical and clinical staff and provide adequate and appropriate supervision and mentoring
