Assistant Estimation Manager

- Overall management and planning of estimation department and its activities.
- Managing full estimation process on all new projects in F&J manufacturing division.
- Properly handling the commercial and capacity issues on new projects and where required elevating the major issues to the Estimation Manager.
- Interpreting and checking of new project documents, drawings, technical and commercial specifications, quantities and estimates.
- Over effective review of tenders to maximizing success ratio on projects priced by the department.
- Timely establishing clarity of roles and responsibilities and development of communication protocols.
- Tender planning, time management including all activities that shall enhance the tender performance and success.
- Review and preparation of bills of quantities.
- Preparation of contract documents.
- Managing and supervising estimating department and planning and programming workload including post tender project variations.
- Cost control and timely submission and finalization of variations and final accounts.
- Maintaining supplier database and consistently seek new companies to pre- qualify for inclusion on tender list.
- Developing bid cost estimates for the specified deadlines for submission and managing the bid calendar to ensure that company is complying with its commitments.
- Preparing and reviewing material takeoffs to allow purchasing department to obtain suppliers’ prices.
- Coordination with setting out and production department for successful execution of project.
- Establishing and periodically reviewing the estimating policies and procedures of the company.
- Managing the retention of important bid documents/technical specifications according to the policies and procedures of the company as established by the management.
- Ensuring a work environment that recruits, retains and supports quality staff.
