Abu Dhabi - Job Description: The main function of a waste management officer is to ensure that the proper waste disposal procedures are being followed by COMPANY and its Contractors. This includes identifying waste materials, training others on the proper safety guidelines to follow, and conducting risk assessments on hazardous materials. TheWaste management safety officer will evaluate and coordinate storage and handling of hazardous waste. They will lead efforts to clean up contaminated soil or water. They will also have to compile reports of waste segregation and safety performance for COMPANY and present them to higher level management. Knowledge of LEED EBOM will be advantageous as would a H&S qualification (either IOSH or NEBOSH).
