Qatar - Job Description An important part of our work focuses on fire safety and ventilation design and modelling studies for underground rail and metro systems and for road tunnels. We develop holistic fire strategies and performance-based designs, supported by fire and evacuation modelling, risk analysis and cost benefit analysis as appropriate. We also develop new guidance and fire engineering tools, such as the widely-used STEPS software for evacuation modelling. The job will involve developing fire strategies and appropriate fire safety designs, including the specification and design of fire detection and alarm systems, for underground transport infrastructure.
