Job Purpose:
The main role of the Payroll Officer is to contribute to the administration and processing of an accurate and timely payroll. The aim of this job is to strive for accuracy and efficiency and support the manager with plans to fully enhance the payroll system.
Job Responsibilities:
• Administers and controls the quality of FMM’s staff payroll records.
• Analyses information received after each payroll deadline. Makes necessary corrections to payroll checks or reports over payments.
• Records FMM’s employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
• Processes all changes including starters, secondments, transfers, leavers and other amendments to payroll and employee data in compliance with policy and payroll requirements.
• Responds to employee inquiries of earnings, deductions and entitlements.
• Investigates payroll claims and complaints regarding payments and deductions and coordinates necessary changes or corrections. Liaises with Finance department as appropriate.
• Prepares final settlements and ensures that it is processed in a timely manner.
• Develops and analyses reports to the Head of HR Operations & Payroll to indicate the key insights and trends related to payroll matters.
• Ensures Duty Resumption Forms and Leave Applications are processed.
• Controls the administration of Pay Cards and Debit Cards.
• Performs all other related tasks as directed by the Head of HR Operations & Payroll.
