Job Description:
- Develop and prepare models / drawings from concept sketches and engineering designs using Revit /AutoCAD other modelling software’s;
- Continually monitor industry trends and developments in technology and adopt into work flow when deemed appropriate;
- Work with the engineering team to improve workflow efficiencies through the use of software that leverages BIM;
- Develop and update the Engineering Manager about the companies modelling / drafting standards;
- Maintain and modify structural design layouts through the project lifecycle in line with the contractual agreement;
- Interact with structural engineering team to understand project requirements (schedule and budgets) and monitor throughout the project;
- Liaise with client and consultants to gather project information to develop plans, sections, elevations, details to deliver a coordinated design package;
- Review design of architect and other consultants to ensure design coordination is compatible and complete;
- Take ownership of the production of documentation packages and drawings sets;
- Assist in the development and use of MEP Revit / BIM / MEP Fabrication tools and processes.
- Work within an existing design team to develop Revit/BIM offering from traditional processes, through multiple stages and activities of a building project through Concept, Design and Coordination
- Be at the forefront of development and implementation of Field BIM and 3D laser scanning
- Perform additional duties when directed by the Engineering Manager/Senior Architect
