IT Systems Officer - Must have banking experience - Michael Page International (UAE) Limited

As the IT Systems Officer you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining network systems and IT systems in support of organisational requirements and business goals whilst providing high grade IT support to internal and external stakeholders.

Description

• Manage and maintain Windows based core services such as Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL server, Cluster Services, RDS Services and CA Services
• Control user access to the network within the organisation
• Responsible for testing and implementing new technologies within the organisation internally
• Maintain networking equipment
• Provide hardware and software guidance to IT Support Service Teams
• Make recommendations for network hardware and software upgrades
• Provide support to company users, investigate and troubleshoot issues
• Repair and recover systems from hardware or software failures
• Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
• Review system and application logs, verify completion of scheduled backups
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
• Maintain data center environment and network monitoring equipment
• Performing any other duties as assigned

  Profile
  
• Must have Banking/Financial services experience
• A degree in an IT disciple or its equivalent
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a systems administrator role in a reputed financial services organisation
• Must have a strong knowledge of MS Active Directory, MS Exchange Server, VMWVARE, SQL Server, Cluster, RDS, CA Services and Administration (Windows and Lunix systems/products)
• Must have a good knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
• Must have industry relevant certifications like ITIL, MSDN etc
• Must have excellent English language soft skills with strong stakeholder management capabilities
