Senior Underwriter (Bahrain)

Our company, an insurance broker with an office in Bahrain, is looking for a Senior Underwriter to join an expanding team. We are looking for candidates with a background in insurance to join the team immediately.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Carry out a review and analysis on insurance applications to review their acceptablity including clients requirements, policy terms and conditions in accordance with the Organisations profitablity and insurance companies guidelines for direct general lines
Development of insurance programs to meet the clients needs and to compete in the market as well
Slip production to be presented to underwriters ensuring accuracy of clients requirements
Passing of slips to insurance companies including coordination/negotiation on behalf of the clients on quotations terms and conditions
Prepares comparative studies of terms obtained from insurance companies and suggesting best terms to the Manager then to client
Coordinating with insurers for policy issuance, reviewing issued policies for accuracy (in accordance with quotations and client requirements) and then forwarding to insured
Claims monitoring with insurance companies and claims handling to ensure swift and smooth finalisation from lodging claims document to insurance companies until final settlement to client
Handles renewals list production then to forward to co-underwriters for necessary dispatches
Completing process of policy renewals
Meets clients when the need arises e.g. Presenting policy terms/conditions to enlighten them
Build relationship with clients and market underwriters under direct guidance of the Branch Manager or General Manager
Supervising/monitoring the underwriting and claims department
Assisting the Branch Manager/General Manager on management reports
Review reinsurance offers on Marine, Hull & Property and bind cover accordingly to our automatic facilities or to agreed terms with our lead underwriters in the absence of automatic binding authorities under the Branch Manager or General Managers supervision and control
Prepare reinsurance slips for engineering and general accident classes of business to be reviewed by the Branch Manager
Forward reinsurance slips/alteration advices and other related documents to London re: Hull, Marine, Cargo, Property and others
Any other jobs as assigned by the Management Team
