Doha, Qatar - About your Job: In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and support of Qatar Airways databases. You must ensure the availability for all hosting products and database infrastructure based on the priority of the business application. This includes providing solutions in database technologies, reviewing database designs especially Oracle/SQL server, pro-active and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, database security, troubleshooting and resolution of issues. You will be responsible for regular database capacity planning related to database growth and system utilization, trend analysis and predicting future database resource requirements. You must research, develop, test and evaluate new technologies and products in databases management that includes open source technologies to reduce cost.
