Qatar - United Arab Emirates - A market leader in the Ship-Management industry across GCC are current looking for a Marine Superintendent to support a local team to maintain and operate a fleet of vessels in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Ensuring full compliance with companies procedures and ISM code during operation and maintenance of the vessels within the fleet (regularly visit the vessel). - Take the lead in investigating any accidents/incidents and collate the information in an appropriate format (report), as well as monitoring and accounting for any vessel downtime. - Consult with local managers and strive to improve local policy and operations, including the employment/training of sea staff through HR where necessary. - Ensure that all relevant bridge communication/LSA/Fire Fighting/Deck equipment is maintained accordingly. - Liaise directly with the local Procurement Manager to ensure delivery of ship stores.
