The Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for the data management and information analysis for the Health Financing and Insurance Department. This includes developing, logging, recording, modifying and maintaining computer programs to effect automation of the Department’s tasks and management of large databases, and management and analysis of data. This position is also responsible for conducting basic analysis using statistical and analytical methods to compile the healthcare sector’s data to support and prepare trend analysis, as well as preparing materials and information to be included in presentations to senior level administrators.
Nature and Scope of Position:
1. Collection of data and preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly management information reports
2. Analyze management information to highlight and explain key issues, trends and anomalies to management
3. Discuss information or business intelligence needs with internal staff and/or external clients
4. Collect and collate appropriate data for use in databases and conduct related research
5. Generate reports using IT / database systems and assist in their analysis
6. Write reports and commentary to summaries and explain numerical reports with clear, meaningful and logical presentation of findings
7. Working with large datasets and reconciliation of differences between system and parties
8. Dealing with internal and external queries and requests
9. Training new employees
10. Monitor and maintain the quality of database systems and secure access and use
11. Assist in development and upgrading of database systems and analytical techniques.

2. Complies with all the laws and regulations of the State of Qatar and the policies of the Supreme Council of Health and points out non-compliance by others;

5. Accepts responsibilities in different shifts, both outside normal working hours and during official holidays, if required by the organization;
6. Accepts, within reasonable boundaries, working with males or females of divergent nationality within or outside the department;
7. Demonstrates respect for colleagues and works as a team player enabling the flow of communication, refrains from grapevine, gossip and ill-will for colleagues;
