About Your Job:
The successful candidate will have to manage category purchasing functions at QDF ensuring that sufficient stock is available at all times to satisfy the projected sales growth. Investigate new product opportunities and present range proposals. Analyze in depth correct performance with a view to focusing the range and maximizing profitability for the company. Responsibility for margin and cost of sale related expenditure. This position will be responsible for all purchasing activities within the QDF Toys and Souvenirs area.
He / She will be responsible to lead, direct, train and manage buying officers. Report on current purchasing activity to the Management. Minimize stock write offs. Establish and maintain strong relationships with other retail and marketing departments. Review performance of products and ranges in conjunction with the Management and reacting as necessary to improve the effect and monitoring performance. Track record in purchasing excellence; margin improvement range success and promotions.
About You:
The applicant should be Graduate/Masters in business /Marketing with 7 + Years experience in FMCG environment, duty free is an advantage. The ideal candidate must have proven experience with toys and souvenirs. The ability to manage stock on a day-to-day basis is essential. Strong analytical skills and understanding of statistical process control is also required. An excellent command of the English language is a must and the candidate should be able to lead and direct the work of the team.
