Partnership Management Specialist

Brief Posting Description
The ideal candidate will provide critical advice, research, and analytical support to the Quality, Impact & Strategy Director, ensuring the efficient achievement of goals in the creation and outlining of ROTA’s partnership strategies and implementation, with a particular emphasis on operations in Qatar.
The incumbent will also assist the Quality, Impact & Strategy Director in creation and implementation of a system and set of mechanisms that facilitate the establishment and management of partnerships with other organizations. In addition, the incumbent will undertake Knowledge Management and Knowledge Sharing practices, chronicled in annual work plans, reports, in-house and field facilitation trainings, and oversight of evaluation and monitoring mechanisms through partnerships. The candidate will assist in forging and managing new and innovative program directives in support of ROTA’s international education programs and domestic youth engagement work. All efforts will serve to ensure that the organization achieves its goals in the most efficient and synergistic manner.

Detailed Description
• To conduct a local NGO mapping and database system identifying different NGOs and their areas of expertise and ways that ROTA can utilize them to achieve its mission
• Review the strategic partnership with Merci Corps and provide an evaluation report
• Review the ECOSOC consultancy status and provide an evaluation and advise in addition to preparing the report.
• Draft the ROTA Partnerships Model
• Assist in creating and managing a system and set of mechanisms that facilitate the establishment and management of partnerships with other organizations.
• Assist in the establishment of a system for creating and managing successful partnerships with international and local organizations:
• In consultation with other ROTA departments, implement a system for vetting and selecting project and strategic partners.
• In consultation with other ROTA departments, create a system for successfully managing partner relationships, including communications, monitoring and evaluation, and narrative and financial reporting systems.
• Assist in drafting a partnership manual detailing how ROTA works with partners from start to finish for use by ROTA staff and partners.
 Guide the work of the Partnership Development Department in investigating educational and development-related organizations, trends and activities in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Occupied Palestinian Territory, and Yemen. In support of this guidance, regular briefs will be produced and shared with staff and workshops held to convey this information.
 Keep abreast of the achievements of other organizations working in ROTA’s sector and maintain a working knowledge of best practices for international education (non-formal education, education in conflict areas experience preferred).
 Conduct in-house information sessions for staff (“brown bag” sessions) on latest trends, trainings, events, etc.
 Facilitate After Action Reviews involving partnerships.
 Assist in writing of toolkits, outreach and interaction materials to be used with partner organizations.
 Prepare forms, guidances, policies and procedures in an effort to streamline departmental communications.
 Assist Manager in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation e.g. copyright, data protection and intellectual property.
 Write or commission accounts or brief articles about ROTA’s work with partners with particular emphasis on demonstrating the evidence and impact of its services and activities in the field and to provide guidance on management of the resources including editorial content and collection policy.
