Dry Docks World - United Arab Emirates - Sourcing Yard’s requirements of materials by obtaining quotes from suitable Suppliers, negotiating with them and creating computerized purchase orders following evaluation of quotations obtained. To highlight to the materials control section regarding repetitive items being purchased to enable creation of these items into stock. Monitoring outstanding purchase orders against estimated delivery dates and following up on the deliveries to ensure on time delivery. Preparing insurance claims for materials damaged or lost in transit. Liaison with Accounts Department in order to settle disputed invoices. Maintaining adequate correspondence files for all purchase. Liaison with user departments & Materials Control Section to ensure correct specifications are quoted on orders. Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head....
